Dies k\u00f6nnen verschiedenste Erkrankungen sein wie <strong>Karies, Paradontose, Zahnstein oder mechanische Verletzungen<\/strong>. Ebenso wie beim Menschen kann man den <strong><em>Zahnproblemen beim Hund<\/em><\/strong> durch die <strong>richtige Pflege<\/strong> entgegen wirken. Die Ursachen k\u00f6nnen bei den <strong>Z\u00e4hnen<\/strong> liegen. Mundgeruch beim Hund wird durch <strong>\u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfige Bakterien im Maul<\/strong> hervorgerufen. Diese verbreiten sich umso mehr, wenn der <strong>Hund Plaque angesetzt<\/strong> hat. Dieser bietet durch seine<strong> raue Oberfl\u00e4che eine Struktur,<\/strong> an dem Futterreste h\u00e4ngen bleiben, in denen wiederum Bakterien ein wohliges zu Hause finden.<\/p><p><strong>Wie entsteht der Plaque beim Hund?<\/strong><\/p><p>Plaque ist eine <strong>kaum sichtbare Schicht<\/strong> (Belag) auf den Z\u00e4hnen deines Hundes sie entsteht durch Speichel, Mineralien und Futterresten.<br \/>Ein weiteres Problem bei vielen Hunden ist der Zahnstein. <strong>Zahnstein beim Hund<\/strong> wird beg\u00fcnstigt durch zuvor entstandenen Plaque und einen <strong>schlechten pH-Wert im Maul<\/strong> des Hundes.<\/p><p><strong>Wie erkennt man Zahnstein beim Hund?<\/strong><\/p><p>Zahnstein hat eine <strong>gelbliche Farbe<\/strong> und eine <strong>raue Oberfl\u00e4che,<\/strong> an der sich wiederum Bakterien und Futterreste ablagern k\u00f6nnen. Hunde mit Zahnstein haben in der Regel verst\u00e4rkt <strong>Mundgeruch<\/strong> und sollte nichts gegen den Zahnstein unternommen werden, <strong>Zahnfleischprobleme, Zahnfleischschwund bis hin zu Zahnausfall<\/strong>. In der Regel sind bei Zahnstein <strong>mehrere Z\u00e4hne<\/strong> betroffen und aufgrund m\u00f6glicher <strong>Zahnfleischentz\u00fcndungen<\/strong> sollte fr\u00fchzeitig etwas gegen den Zahnstein beim Hund unternommen werden. Um den <strong>Zahnstein beim Hund<\/strong> zu entfernen, ist es ein Besuch beim Tierarzt unerl\u00e4sslich. Angefangen bei <strong>Kauartikeln <\/strong>f\u00fcr zwischendurch <strong>bis hin zu Hundezahnb\u00fcrsten<\/strong> mit entsprechender Zahnpasta. Wir geben unseren Hunden zum Beispiel immer mal <strong>eine M\u00f6hre zum Kauen<\/strong>, die <strong>schmeckt gut<\/strong> und<strong> pflegt gleichzeitig die Z\u00e4hne<\/strong>. Es gibt nat\u00fcrlich auch <strong>spezielle Kauartikel und Spielzeuge<\/strong>, die helfen sollen, die <strong>Z\u00e4hne von unliebsamen Essensresten oder Ablagerungen<\/strong> zu <strong>befreien<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Mit einer <strong>Hundezahnb\u00fcrste<\/strong>\/Fingerzahnb\u00fcrste k\u00f6nnt Ihr die Z\u00e4hne eures Hundes <strong>t\u00e4glich reinigen.<\/strong> Nehmt bitte keine normale Zahnb\u00fcrste, da diese zu hart f\u00fcr das empfindliche Zahnfleisch eures Hundes ist! Ein <strong>Tierarzt<\/strong> kann euch bei der <strong>Auswahl der B\u00fcrsten helfen<\/strong> und euch zeigen, wie Ihr am Besten vorgeht. Es empfiehlt sich, dass <strong>\u00d6ffnen des Mauls schon im Welpenalter zu trainieren<\/strong>. Bei erwachsenen Hunden ist es wie so oft schwerer, das Putzen neu zu erlernen.<br \/>Es f\u00e4llt auf, dass <strong>Hunde<\/strong>, die<strong> \u201egebarft\u201c<\/strong> werden <strong>bessere Z\u00e4hne<\/strong> haben. Dies liegt vor allem daran, dass die Hunde durch die <strong>gr\u00f6\u00dferen Fleischst\u00fccke und die Knochen Ihre Z\u00e4hne selber reinigen.<\/strong><\/p><p>Das <strong>Futter<\/strong> hat allgemein<strong> gro\u00dfen Einfluss<\/strong> auf die <strong>Zahngesundheit<\/strong> deines Hundes. <strong>Billige Trockenfutter<\/strong>, die eventuell sogar Zucker enthalten, sind <strong>ganz besonders schlecht<\/strong> f\u00fcr die Z\u00e4hne deines Hundes. Achte also bitte bei der Auswahl des Futters darauf, dass <strong>kein Zucker, Glukose oder Melasse enth\u00e4lt<\/strong>.
